Our Staff

We have a rather large staff. We are very fortunate to have such a good group of doctors, nurses, receptionists, assistants and kennel attendants. Our staff works together everyday to help the animals and their owners. We will highlight each staff member, one by one, until we have a little information on everyone.

Dr. Sara Husain has been with Washington Blvd Animal Hospital since 2003. She ventured out in 2007 to another practice for additional experience. She continued to work at WBAH 3-4 times a month for about a year. She recently decided to come back to work Full-Time for Washington Blvd Animal Hospital again.

We are very glad to have her back! Dr. Husain is very kind and gentle with the animals (and good with owners as well).

Dr. Husain was born and raised in California. She received her B.S. form UC Irvine and an M.S. at Cal Poly Pomona. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, West Indies with her clinical year at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Husain has a special interest in Internal Medicine. Her hobbies include traveling and watching baseball.

Dr. Husain has 3 cats of her own; Frieda, Monty and Zoe.

Brittany Goodman is usually up front working as a receptionist and also works to assist our doctors and the nursing staff in the hospital. She has been part of the WBAH family for almost four years now. She is excellent out front with both the clients and the animals. She is multi-talented and very knowledgeable.
Brittany has two cats at home to love and care for named “Zardoz” and “MoMo Yumi”. Brittany has been a local resident of Whittier for ten years.

We are very glad Brittany is part of our group.

For those who may not know, our Office Manager, Barbara Kirby, has retired. She has left Washington Blvd Animal Hospital to enjoy life with her husband. We will miss her! Barbara started working at WBAH in 1986. She quickly became an important part of our hospital. She became Office Manager and our leader in the front office. We could always count on Barbara to make us laugh when we needed it and give us a hug when we needed that too. She is a very special person professionally and personally.
